Every once in a while my high school bestie and I pull out The Book of Us we half-ass filled out and take a great trip down a cringey memory lane. I also vividly remember making a lot of tiny dolls with embroidery floss? And friendship bracelets!
Adored Klutz growing up. Still do! Who else would have made a book for kids about quilling or making tissue paper flowers?! (Also omg, à tour of the Mrs. Grossman sticker factory? A dream!)
I started my first business at the local town pool. All I needed was: the Nail Art book, some nail polish, and toothpicks! Later that summer I added friendship bracelets to my offering. I made “so much money” (or what felt like a ton because I could afford to get a chocolate eclair ice cream at the snack bar every day 🤣).
Explorabook and Earthsearch will forever be two of the most influential books in my life. I created so many books trying to match their vision and imagination.

I love this!!!
The amount of nostalgia slamming me in the face right now… 😵💫 My favorite was probably the friendship bracelet book.
oh wow - my daughter still has all of hers! I know I saw Paper Fashions on our front porch a couple of weeks ago . . .

Cat’s Cradle!!! Nail art!!!!!
That Cat’s Cradle book was definitely worth the money for entertainment value for me. 👌
This makes me want to weep with joy. Crying!!! Agh!!!
I had the Cat’s Cradle book and can still do Jacob’s Ladder by memory!!
I was obsessed with all these! Thanks for sharing your own artwork. My kids have an updated version of the thumbprint book, and they're so much fun.
Oh. My. God. Jacob's Ladder was my JAM!!!!!
Thank you for this nostalgia trip! 🖤
What a delightful journey down memory lane! I completely agree the DK series should be housed together.
