Oh my!! What a gem you are offering us with this map. Will definitely visit all the shops in Paris and resist buying everything. My retirement dream is to open a cute little stationery shop somewhere in this world, and I hope it will make your list lol.
A shortlist of many in London: Choosing Keeping, Present & Correct, L. Cornelissen & Son (paint sets & pens, art supplies), London Graphic Center (art supplies, pens), Papersmiths, The Japan Store.
Hello! Updating the map and I can't seem to find "The Japan Store" in London - do you mind sharing a google maps link please? Happy to add once I find it!
I love the map!!! I wish I could save it. I personally go to kinokuniya, goods for the study, paper shop and online paper plus cloth and oomomo. I also search etsy. Im
more of a sticker and pen person and I love Japanese stationery.
Great list and map! I look for local art supply stores, stationers, and book shops when I travel.
You should add St. Louis Art Supply. They sell hard to find art and stationary supplies, many from Japan and Korea, as well as some from Europe. They also do mail order and have excellent customer service.
- Papelaria Universitária, at Vila Mariana, is one of the best shops! It's quite complete, focused on art supplies. Paint, brushes, pens, papers, journals, watercolours... love this place
- Haikai, at Liberdade (there's more than one, but the shop at Liberdade is the biggest one). It's expensive, but it has SO MUCH stuff!!! It's way more focused on stationary. A LOT of stickers, washi tapes, cute pens and nice journals. A good place to give yourself a gift on a day you're feeling fancy
- Fancy Goods, at Liberdade as well, is a bit of a classic. Everything is super cute!
This is awesome, thanks for sharing!!! There's a couple more I can think of for SF: A Case for Making (paper and watercolor supplies int he Sunset), Topdrawer (on Valencia, pens and stationary)
This is amazing, thank you. I will be in NYC, Paris, & London in the next couple of months. Hopefully I can convince my traveling partners the value of yummy stationary stores. Thank you for the effort you’ve put into this!

I have the same dream Elodee!! Hopefully before retirement but it’s inevitable ☺️ (an I hope it makes this list, too 😜)
I hope you'll make your dream come true!

While a random Connecticut town, it’s probably 10 minutes away from the iconic Yale
Added to map!
Looks amazing!
TN has several - Gentleman Stationer in Nashville, and Butler Stationery in Columbia!
Thank you - just added them to the map!

Wonder Pens in Toronto is a fabulous shop, run by an adorable family. Highly recommend their newsletter too!

I hope you make your way to Asia at some point, especially Japan! I think you’d love it. Thank you so much for this from a fellow stationery lover.
I know I would love it too!!! I hope it can happen in 2025. 🙏🙏
Yes! I literally have a post about exploring cities by stationery shopping!!
