3 Solo Days in DC
A travel diary + a zine flip through.
Ever since I turned my travel itinerary into a zine for my trip to Japan, I’ve become convinced that this is the optimal way to organize my travel plans. An exercise in creativity, a useful reference document, and a fun keepsake all in one, I took my newly minted zine skills1 on a solo trip to Washington D.C.
Last year’s solo trip was in Paris for three blissful days of walking, shopping, museum visiting, and just enjoying. The year before, I set off on a similar 3 day tour of Chicago, which resulted in this stationery shopping guide. I had never been to the District of Columbia before,2 but had a keen interest in visiting as many Smithsonian Museums as I possibly could (museum-maxxing, if you will), and enjoying what I understood to be a a very buzzy food scene!
So I boarded the Amtrak train from Penn Station to embark on a 3 day journey of solo D.C. adventures…
